Oct 23: What's on HDTV today
What we're watching:
Wow, I got so wrapped up watching today's NASCAR race in high-def, that I almost forgot to write up the daily picks! See what sports in high-def can do to you?
The high-def starts early with a movie at 6 p.m. on HDNet Movies in 1080i. "Rio Bravo" is a 1959 film that showcases some famous actors from before their prime. This western features folks like John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson and Walter Brennan!
After a half-hour break, I'm heading over to the main HDNet channel at 9 p.m. Clint Black performs in Chattanooga for "Clint Black: Drinkin' Songs and Other Logic" in 1080i. This 2005 performance takes place at the Tivoli Theater, which was built in 1921 for a million bucks! What can I say y'all? I gotta have my country music.
After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.
