Bulletproof G Unit Edition previewed

G-G-G UNIT! If you're unlike me and haven't totally soured on everything 50 Cent, then you may be excited to know a version of 50 Cent: Bulletproof is making its way onto the PSP. Instead, this time, it's the G Unit Edition. What makes this a G Unit Edition is beyond me and probably any other sane person.

But, according to Gamespot's preview, the game is actually pretty entertaining, something that can't be said of the protaganist's music. In this version, the story is the same as its PS2 big brother, but the gameplay and other aspects have been changed. Take for instance the camera. Instead of being third person, the camera in G Unit Edition is top down, which tends to make the game feel like more of a dungeon crawler.

Throughout the game, players will collect cash to buy new clothes, weapon upgrades and even 50 Cent songs and videos. Whoo hoo!

While I think it's nice High Voltage is making the necessary changes to make the game as best as possible for a portable, am I the only one who thinks it's pretty ridiculous a rapper gets not one, but two games made after him? I think a game modeled after my life would be pretty damn entertaining. Look for the G Unit to be rolling through your hood Aug. 29.
